Chia Pudding with Apples

This is addicting! I never thought that chia pudding is so yummy. Resep ini cocok untuk menu berbuka puasa atau sebagai snack sehat for your healthy diet :)

You will need :
1 cup chia seeds
1 cup almond/soy milk
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
Apples or any fruits of your choice

Just mix chia seeds, milk and vanilla essence and keep them in the fridge at least 1 hour of overnight. To serve it, put apples or fruits on top of it :)

Berbukalah Dengan Yang Manis

Teh manis? Sirup? Kolak?
Pernah ga terbersit untuk berbuka puasa dengan sesuatu yg segar dan sehat?

Jujur...saya bosan dengan menu buka puasa yang itu-itu saja. And too much sugar is not my choice hehehe...Buat yang lagi mengurangi asupan gula atau bosan buka puasa dengan teh manis atau sirup, bisa coba resep ini ;)






Just mix fresh coconut water with lemon and honey lalu masukan chia seeds dan aduk rata. Diamkan di dalam lemari es hingga waktu buka puasa. Madunya sesuai selera ya, kalau saya pribadi lebih suka sedikit saja karena suka banget sama segarnya lemon. Kalau tidak ada chia seeds boleh dilewatkan..optional ;)

Very easy, fast , fresh and also healthier than teh manis atau sirup.

Banana Peanut Butter Wrap

I love banana and peanut butter. They taste so yummy yet healthy. Eating banana before workout will give you extra energy..so does peanut butter. So why don't combine them as a healthy yummy breakfast meal? Remember breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Not having breakfast =  feel tired,not energized :(

I know some of us doesn't have much time to prepare breakfast..but this recipe is very simple and quick to make.

You'll just need :
  • Banana
  • Whole wheat bread
  • Peanut butter
How to?
  •  Rolled your bread until it thin enough to make a wrap
  • Spread peanut butter and add sliced banana on top



Then rolled it baby! And enjoy your banana peanut butter wrap..yuum :)



This wrap also can be one of your choice of healthy snack or after workout meal. Easy to make..easy to bring with you :)

RicePapers

Rice papers is one of Vietnam traditional dish. Biasanya isinya udang and vegetables wrapped in a thin spring roll look a like skin which made from rice. It is looks like a raw spring rolls if you don't have any idea about it.  You can buy the skin at supermarket or food store that sells Asian ingredients.
Actually you can put anything you like inside your rice papers. Meat,chicken,seafood,veggies etc

I made these shrimp rice papers for my hubby's healthy snack. I just can't stand him eating gorengan or mie ayam as his late night snack at the office.

My rice papers filled with boiled shrimp, carrots, kyuri (Japanese cucumber) and glass noodles. Pretty healthy right?

Shrimp&Veggies Rice Paper

The sauce..."Nuoc Cham"
Got this recipe from Drool Factor

3-4 lime or lemon juice
2 tbs sugar
1/2 cup water
2 1/2 tbs fish sauce

Additional : garlic (chopped) and chilli paddy

Mix all the ingredients together :)

Nasi Goreng Teri Ala ala

Ini resep nasi goreng ala ala banget. Iseng bermain2 dengan bumbu karena hubby requested me to make nasi goreng teri for dinner which I never make before. Otak-atik bumbu apparentely it turned out to be yummy!
Penasaran resepnya? Here's the recipe :

You'll need :
  • Nasi
  • Teri kering
  • Kecap manis
  • Kecap asin
  • Garam
  • Merica/lada 
* Bumbu :
  • Bawang putih
  • Bawang merah
  • Cabai rawit merah
  • Ketumbar
  • Garam
* Semua sesuai selera saja, dan dihaluskan.

How to?
  • Tumis bumbu sampai wangi
  • Masukan teri, tumis sampai agak kering
  • Masukan nasi, beri garam dan lada secukupnya/sesuai selera
  • Beri kecap asin dan manis secukupnya
And voila your nasi goreng teri ala ala is ready to be served.

Sate Klathak Pak Je Je

Many people said that you have to try sate klathak if you're in Jogja. Sate klathak is young goat satay.
Tried the one in Jombor area named Sate Klathak Pak Je Je. The satay is very tender and juicy. Luving the gulai/curry sauce!! Soo yummy :)

I also tried their tengkleng. Actually it is goat's marrow bone cooked in spicy herbs called bumbu rica-rica. It is so yummy and spicy. I suggest you to use straw to suck up the marrows inside. Quite a hard work to eat but very worth the flavor inside.

Really recommend these dishes if you're visiting Yogyakarta. The price?? Very affordable and worth the flavor.

Gudeg Yu Djum, Wijilan

This is my 2nd trip to Jogja. The 1st time when I was a lil girl and I didn't remember much from that trip. So this trip feels like my 1st trip to Yogyakarta.

First stop is Gudeg Yu Djum at Wijilan street. I'm not a big fan of gudeg and bacem food but to be honest this gudeg taste very nice. I love the sambal krecek. The chicken was also nice, not too sweet like those bacem food.

Gudeg Yu Djum has many branches but my driver told me that the one in Wijilan is a must try. Wijilan street is famous as gudeg central but Yu Djum is the most famous I think.
A must try food when you are visitng Yogyakarta :)
